Marisa Milroy

Marisa Milroy is a film and television writer, producer, and actress from Edmonton, Alberta. She is now based between Los Angeles and New York.

Marisa received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from The New York Film Academy. As a former development executive, Marisa gained experience shepherding independent film and television projects from development through production. Her background in screenwriting and performance gives her a story-first approach to producing, with a focus on bold, character-driven work that bridges the independent and commercial space. Her experience spans across creative development, packaging, production, and festival strategy.

Her films have notably premiered at SXSW and The Tribeca Film Festival. She has also placed in prestigious screenwriting competitions such as Austin Film Festival, PAGE awards, and ScreenCraft.
